Gauertal
The magical valley. Old mountain pastures, the Lindauer hut and a feeling like stepping into another time. Our absolute favourite place in the Montafon.
Wiegensee — Austria's Most Beautiful Place
Austria's Most Beautiful Place 2021 (ORF "9 Places – 9 Treasures"). A high moor at 1,900 m above Partenen — surreally beautiful, especially in autumn when the golden larches mirror in the moorland lake.
Garneratal
Little-walked, and all the more impressive for it. At the end a waterfall awaits that will leave you speechless. Perfect for an e-bike plus hike.
Silvretta Reservoir Loop
The classic — and special every single time. Turquoise-blue water, 3,000-metre panorama, a dam wall with history. Doable with kids too.

Bella Nova Hut
The best Kaiserschmarren in the whole Montafon — no debate. Best enjoyed after a tour on the Versettla loop.
Nova Stoba
Fine dining on the mountain. Surprisingly good, surprisingly creative. Our tip for a special evening (yes, the gondola runs in the evening too).
Café Muntafuner Stöbli
Breakfast in the village, just the way it should be. Good coffee, homemade cakes, Montafon cosiness. Perfect for a relaxed start.
Alpe Vergalden
Authentic alpine cuisine — Sura Kees cheese, fresh butter straight from the alp, and a panorama you won't forget. Reachable only on foot or by bike.

Ill Riverside Path at Dusk
When the sun slips behind the mountains and the valley turns golden — the most beautiful sunset walk. Starts right at the hotel.
Mountain Beach Gaschurn
The outdoor pool in Gaschurn with mountain views — swimming, sunbathing and cooling off after a hike. Our happy place in summer.
Gaschurn Village Centre
Authentic, not touristy. Just stroll through the village, look at the old houses, pause by the church. Time ticks differently here.
Transfair Shop
Local products, Montafon specialities, handmade crafts. The perfect spot for authentic souvenirs.

Muntafuner Gaglaweg
The themed trail for kids — with stations to play, climb and explore. Our children love it, yours will too.
Aktivpark Montafon
Climbing, bouldering, archery — all in one place. Perfect when the little ones (or the big ones) need some action.
Silvretta Park
Indoor playground for rainy days. Bouncy castles, slides, a trampoline park — and a café where the parents can unwind.
Alpenbad Montafon
Outdoor and indoor pool in Vandans. Water slides, a kids' pool, a sunbathing lawn with mountain views. The classic for hot summer days.

When the snow is calling.
Freeriding Silvretta
Untracked slopes, powder to your heart's content. The Silvretta Montafon is a paradise for freeriders — and the Versettla north descent is our secret run.
Night Tobogganing
When it gets dark, the fun really begins. Floodlit toboggan run, headlamp on, then full speed down into the valley. Legendary.
Winter Hiking Kristbergbahn
Up with the Kristbergbahn, then hike through snow-covered forests. Quiet, magical, like a winter fairy tale. Snowshoes work too.
Ski Touring Gargellen
Quiet ascents, lonely summits, perfect descents. Gargellen is the ski-touring paradise of the Montafon — fewer people, more mountain.
