Gaschurn lies at the end of the Montafon — where the mountains are highest and the trails are most beautiful. The Versettla lift takes you straight up from Gaschurn into the Hochjoch area at over 2,000 metres. From there, panorama trails open up through the Silvretta, the Rätikon and the Verwall. The Ill riverside trail starts right by die Monika Aparthotel and leads gently through the valley — ideal for families and leisurely hikers.

Families
Muntafuner Gaglaweg — adventure for little mountain explorers.
Kids discover the Montafon on the Muntafuner Gaglaweg: a playful hike through the mountain villages with riddles, stories and adventures at every stop. In Gaschurn there are also adventure playgrounds, a mini-golf course and an outdoor pool. The Versettla lift takes you up to family-friendly alpine trails with mountain huts along the way. In the evening, your own kitchen in the apartment — a family holiday made easy.

Mountain Beach Gaschurn
Mountain-lake feeling in the heart of the Montafon.
After a hike or just because: the Mountain Beach in Gaschurn is the outdoor pool with a mountain backdrop. Swim, sunbathe on the lawn, cool off in the water — all with a view of the surrounding three-thousanders. For families there's a children's pool and a play area. In summer, the perfect afternoon after an active morning in the mountains.

E-Mountain Biking
Trails with a view. Summits with e-power.
The Montafon is a paradise for e-mountain bikers. From Gaschurn, trails lead through the Garneratal, up to the Zeinisjoch and along the Ill. The Versettla lift and the Nova lift in the neighbouring village of St. Gallenkirch carry bikes uphill. E-bike rental and charging stations are right in Gaschurn — routes for beginners to pros, always with a view of the three-thousanders of the Silvretta.

Silvretta & Vermunt
Reservoirs, glaciers and Vorarlberg's highest road.
In the neighbouring village of Partenen (10 minutes) the famous Silvretta High Alpine Road begins — one of the most beautiful panorama roads in the Alps, leading up to the Silvretta reservoir at 2,030 m. The historic Vermunt power station, the tunnel railway up to the Trominier and high-mountain hikes make Partenen the perfect day trip. Please note: the Silvretta High Alpine Road is being renovated until 2030 — the reservoirs and the Vermunt power station are reachable on foot via hiking trails.

Cuisine & Culture
Sura Kees, Riebel and 100 years of village brass band.
Gaschurn is one of the nine Montafon mountain villages — with its own identity, living traditions and Montafon warmth. The spicy Sura Kees from the surrounding alpine pastures, the traditional Riebel and fresh alpine produce shape the local cuisine. From the cattle drive in autumn to the solstice fires in summer and the 100-year-old brass band of Gaschurn-Partenen — tradition is alive here.
